Prepping for your

trip

What to bring for the trip

Here’s a basic list of what you might want to bring on your vacation. You’ll undoubtedly have your own needs, but we thought this might be helpful, knowing what we do about the amenities in this home.

  • Personal toiletries – we provide soap, shampoo and conditioner, but depending on brand preference, you might want to bring your own.
  • Personal electronics chargers – we have outlets in each bedroom to plug in overnight, but please bring your own chargers.
  • Info to login on smart TVs – all rooms have smart TVs, but you will need to bring your own logins.

Things you do not need to bring

We’ve attempted to ensure that our vacation home is appropriately stocked.

  • Bed linens – all of the beds are made with soft and fresh bed linens. 
  • Towels  – all bathrooms are stocked with towels. We also provide towels for the hot tub. 
  • Blowdryer – we have one in each bathroom.
  • Kitchen and cooking supplies – we provide quality cookware and kitchen tools, including knives, baking tools and pans, Keurig, waffle maker, mixer, rice cooker, slow cooker and blender. 
  • Coffee – the coffee bar is stocked with Keurig cups.

your arrival

Access code

We will provide you with an access digital key code the day before your arrival by 1pm. This will allow you to check yourself into the property via the front door.

Check-in

Check-in time starts at 4:00pm. Please do not arrive to the cabin until the scheduled check-in time as your door code will not work. It will also put stress on the cleaners and potentially delay your check-in time.

If you are arriving early, we suggest you explore the local restaurants and attractions at the Pigeon Forge Island. 

Parking

The cabin can accommodate a maximum of 3 vehicles.

We know you’re here to have a good time and we want you to feel right at home. Our ground rules are designed to keep everyone safe and help make Chillin Away a great place to stay. 

Parties

NO parties or events of any kind are permitted at the property. 

Septic

We are on septic which means it’s sensitive. Please only flush toilet paper. We also do not have garbage disposals so please no food or grease down drains. 

Occupants

We can accommodate a maximum of 6 occupants, including visitors.

Smoking

This is a smoke-free cabin, including the outside area surrounding the property—no smoking of any substance including vaping.

Pets

We love animals, but we chose to make this cabin pet-free due to many people (hosts included) being allergic. If you try to sneak in a pet, you will forfeit all deposits and will be asked to leave.

Breakages

We understand that sometimes accidents happen. Should you break anything, please let us know immediately so we can get the item replaced quickly – if it’s minor we usually won’t charge. If it’s a larger issue (e.g. TV screen), we would like to agree on the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later.

You’ll need Wi-Fi to use most features on your phone because cell service is spotty at times. It’s fast enough for streaming TV, video calls, phone apps, and websites. The service is provided for your enjoyment, but you are responsible for safe and appropriate use and complying with all laws. If there is any loss of service, please contact us.

First time logging, simply input your name and email and you’ll be registered to the network (no password needed).

Inside

  • Smart TV’s – house is equipped with smart TVs in bedrooms and living room. No cable is available, so please use your own logins for Netflix, Hulu, etc.
  • Indoor gas fireplace (only available Oct- Apr)- use knob on right side of fireplace to operate. 
  • Smart thermostat– to adjust the temperature simply touch the screen and slide the temp on the right side of the thermostat to your desired temp.

Outside

  • Hot tub -use at your own risk.  Replace the cover when not in use.
  • Grill -outdoor grill is a park-style charcoal grill.
  • Firepit – firewood to be provided by guest; bring or purchase your own.  Make sure that all fires are out prior to leaving the property or going inside. Do not use the fire pit when conditions are hazardous (windy).

  • Pool – resort pool is seasonal (May- Sept).

Check-out is at 10 AM

Trash

Please secure all trash in the bear bins to keep wildlife out (a $50 fee applies for any trash left outside the bins)

Food

Leave kitchen free of open food and remove any food from refrigerator

Dishes

Load all dirty dishes into the dishwasher, put detergent in compartment, and turn it on a normal cycle

Linens

Leave all used beds unmade and used towels on the floor.

Lights

Turn off any lights and appliances.

Doors & Windows

Please lock all doors, windows and slider.

There is a first aid kit in the kitchen drawer. Please do not remove it from the property.
